If I Knew Then...

...What I know now, I would've sailed through school a lot easier. What I know now is that fractions do make sense and I do know what to do with them after all! Maths actually makes sense ~ who knew?! I also understand what debating is all about and how to go about preparing for it. I guess it just takes a second go around sometimes LOL.

Meanwhile, 'What Lies Within' beckons.

You are one up on me - maths remains a mystery!

Literature - now that's a whole other ball game. Enjoy Rafe and Kyla's story.......

Well, it's a surprise to me. I had to laugh when Miss Sunshine's teacher admitted that he double checks what he's teaching his kids with his Year 10 daughter...just to make sure he's got it straight!

I'm the same way - literature and writing make sense to me. I'm in awe that you understand fractions! LOL!

I agree! Maths still makes no sense to me at all. I mean, why are there letters where there should be numbers. No matter how much my hubby explains it to me, I still don't get it. Although, I am beginning to think (especially after my pastry fiasco) that I have lost all my brain cells having babies, lol! Who knows what I did but it must have been something.

With you on the book, haven't started it yet.

I wonder how many of us would like to do school over so that we could take advantage of the opportunities that we had that we might not have used to the fullest. I have often thought that I wish that I could.

Math was easy for me as well as English or any subject that entailed memorization but English Literature and composition that is another matter. I am not a creative writer by any means, though I read all the time.

You just can't do what you haven't been given so I make the best of it.

Lady in the Making, fortunately the kids are learning about basic fractions. I'm with it so far! I hope I don't get to the point where I have to tell Mr W I don't get it anymore LOL.

I don't get algebra either Fi. It's a complete mystery.

I always think that if I went back to school now I would be brilliant! Unfortunately, when I was in school I was distracted with all kinds of things so I never did as well as I could.

I was so bad at math in school, but I'm like you--now (when nobody's grading me for it) it finally makes sense. Even fractions, even Algebra.

Still, I've made more than my fair share of mistakes when checking my son's math homework. In fact, I've promised his math teacher I wouldn't help him any more ... LOL!

ROFL Lefthanded Housewife. I've told my kids teachers that they'd have to teach me first so I could help the kids. They said that's fine, that I wouldn't teach them any bad habits!
