The Beginning of the End

Quilt Centre

I think I mentioned earlier that I had a Block of the Month class last night. We have one class left for putting it together, which will involve 'saw tooth' piecing. Last night though, this is what I did. Well, I finished off two sides this morning. The point is, this is the centre of the quilt and it's all put together. I am VERY happy with it.

This is your quilt? The one you've been working on? Wow! It's gorgeous! You should be VERY happy with it!

Wow, that is just beautiful....it certainly looks like a lot of work...the quilts I make aren't near as intricate! Be sure and post when you put it all together...is there a name for that pattern?

Yep, this is just the centre. The rest will come together in the next month so I'll keep posting pictures of my progress. I'm ecstatic.

SecondofWett, the pattern is called Ye Olde Sampler I think. Because it's a class, I'm not sure if the pattern is for sale.

Wow! That looks amazing!!

Makes me feel bad that all I've done on the quilt I've been planning for over 10 years is cut out one square.
But then I do spend a lot of time doing cross stitch.

Looks great, Tracy although I am just in wonder of you having the dedication to do it!

Wow! That is just gorgeous Tracy!!! You have done soooo well. Now that is a class I would have loved to go to!

Beth, I won't mention the quilt blocks that just need sashing between them, that have sat for 8 years then.

Rel, going to a class is what pushes me to do it. It's that 'dependable' character trait thing coming out.

Joy, I know you'd love it!

What I am amazed at is that everyone's fabrics are so very different so all the quilts in the class are unique and amazing.
